TrailScout Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. About TrailScout

TrailScout operates an online marketplace that connects mountain bikers with independent, third-party mountain bike guides. TrailScout is not a guide service, tour operator, employer, or insurer.

2. Bookings and Payments

When you request a booking, you authorize TrailScout to facilitate payment through Stripe on behalf of the Guide. TrailScout retains a platform fee from each transaction.

3. Assumption of Risk

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous activity. By booking a ride, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept the risks of participating.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Bookings cancelled before a Guide accepts are not charged. Once accepted, refunds depend on the Guide's stated policy and applicable law.

5. Conduct

Riders and Guides agree to behave respectfully, follow trail etiquette, comply with applicable laws and land-use rules, and avoid unsafe behavior.

6. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on personal experience.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrailScout is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrailScout, its affiliates, and personnel from claims arising from your use of the platform.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
